Born 1960 in Nicosia, Guliz Kaner studied at Turk Maarif College and then continued English Business at Eastbourn Ladies Tuition Centre.

In 1979 she started working at Kaner Group of Companies. After the death of her father in 1981, Guliz Kaner and her mother Emine Kaner took over the responsibilities of the family business.

Guliz Kaner who continues to serve as a member of the Board of Directors, aims to advance the philosophy of 'To be a continuously developing global company with the corporate family structure', which is the vision of Kaner Group of Companies.

Guliz Kaner has a son named Vedat and a daughter named Eda. She raised her children with the same philosophy and work discipline. After completing their university education, her children started their working career in Kaner Group of Companies as the third generations.

Guliz Kaner is taking an active role in corporate social responsibility projects that she values very much. She is currently the chairman for the Support of Life Without Barriers.
